For over 20 years, Tom has worked in the building industry, in both residential and commercial construction. This experience has left Tom with a large body of knowledge that has been to use in the home inspection business. For the last 8 years, Tom has been a full member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI); performing his inspections to their rigorous standards. Tom is currently owner-operator of a company performing pre-purchase inspections for potential homebuyers. The service is an intensive evaluation of an entire residential structure, including the proper functioning of the individual electrical, mechanical, and structural systems. Upon completion of the evaluation, clients are informed in a written report of any defects found during the inspection. Defects are classified as major or minor with the amount of money needed to repair the item or the potential for injury taken into consideration to categorize the defect. Clients are given a thorough evaluation of the condition of the house they are purchasing; they rely on Tom’s expertise to make them aware of problems and the overall condition of the home. Tom is a graduate of the Professional Home Inspectors Institute and has been performing these thorough home inspections for over ten years with over 3000 successful home inspections.
